Just a gentle reminder to please use your voice tomorrow to help others and not suppress them 🙏 • It was another devastating day on the medical carousel 🎠 • I had to physically go into 3 Dr offices because due to outsourcing, and being unable to get ahold of the offices any more • The first Dr office was time sensitive as I’ve been battling a severe flare and decided to take myself off hormone therapy until advised otherwise and I still hadn’t been able to connect with the front desk, nurse triage or Dr through the patient portal • Another clinic hadn’t sent out a referral that was requested on August 25th, so I had to get the physical paperwork and hand deliver to another office • The third office was a Dr I’ve been waiting 3 months to see but after looking at my medical history for 2 mins she refused to see me as a patient and canceled my appointment on the spot • Then I had to pick up my life saving medication, which once again (just like every month) was the wrong brand and had to exchange it • I’m tired of being sick and I’m tired of fighting insurance, phone lines, dr offices and the medical community to just do the bare minimum of seeing me, treating me and helping me • Being sick is so isolating and you truly feel like you are doing it on your own, because honestly, you are • I know things are loud and chaotic, but this is just a tiny reminder that your voice can deeply impact those around you, for better and for worse - so please be kind tomorrow ❤️ • #chronicillness #invisibleillness #spoonie #spoonielife #disabled #addisonsdisease #endometriosis #adenomyosis #degenerativediscdisease #maldedebarquementsyndrome #onespoonatatime #bekind #useyourvoice #pleasevote #voteforkindness
