The 2024 Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron, representing a significant evolution in the Audi electric vehicle lineup, is a pioneering all-electric SUV offering exceptional performance, increased range, and technological advancements. With a redesign and enhancement of key features, the Q8 e-tron redefines the luxury electric SUV experience. Available in two body styles, the Q8 e-tron comes as an SUV and a Sportback. The SUV maintains a more traditional SUV design, while the Sportback features a coupe-like roofline that adds a touch of sophistication and distinctive styling. Both versions share the same front-end design and cabin layout but differ in the rear profile, offering varied rear-seat space and cargo capacity to suit different preferences. Notable improvements in the Q8 Sporback e-tron come from an increase in battery capacity to 114 kWh (with 106 kWh usable capacity) compared to the previous 95 kWh. This enhancement, coupled with a new nickel cobalt aluminum cell chemistry, provides a range of approximately 480 km. The vehicle benefits from a 30% increase in range compared to its predecessor, achieved through improved aerodynamics, including active grille shutters and underbody spoilers that reduce drag coefficients. Driving observations show a potential 25% or more real-world range improvement. Despite the larger battery pack, Audi has improved the charge curve, allowing a peak charging rate of 170 kW, reducing charging times significantly. The onboard 11-kW charger facilitates a full charge in less than 10 hours with a 240-volt power source. The cabin remains a hallmark of luxury and sophistication, offering a comfortable and quiet environment. The interior features a dual-screen layout for infotainment and climate control, with premium materials and refreshed design elements.
