https://kbandstraining.com/what-is-st... • This is a great stride length drill utilize by intermediate to advanced level athletes. First, find a hurdle at your local track. Next, you will strap on Kbands and apply resistance to your legs while we complete some sprint work. To increase your sprint speed there are two factors that are most important. The first one is stride length, and the second one is stride frequency. This drill specifically will target stride length. When you begin this drill, you will set the hurdle at a height just below your chest so that when you bend over the hurdle will not tip over. • Next, drive the hurdle with powerful strides for 20 to 30 yards before spinning around and taking a small break. Notice the athlete maintains an upright chest position. You must still consistently complete repetitions with the proper body angle. If you start running with a hunch in your back and do not do this without the resistance added you will not be doing this drill correctly. Keep a nice flat back and use leg drive to stride through the hurdle. • Pay close attention as the details are described with in the video.
