Hi Teachers! This is Lesson 4 in my instructional video series that teaches our kids how to use the RACE (or RACES!) writing strategy for answering text dependent questions. Feel free to take a look at my quick informational video (linked below) that will tell you more about the video series. • There are 11 videos in the series (Lesson 11 is optional, see titles below), and I teach the strategy one step at a time with student independent practice in between some of the video sessions! You will need the RACE(S) resource used throughout the video lessons which includes the student practice pages (print and digital), and that is linked below. • Here is what teachers are saying: • Literally the perfect resource. Videos were simple and clearly explained, and perfectly aligned practice. Thanks so much for the awesome resource! • I LOVE this resource. It gave me a very easy and simple way to teach the RACE writing strategy to students. I used this, along with her youtube videos and it worked perfectly! • Ms. Erin does a wonderful job explaining the RACE strategy in depth and divides the work up perfectly to keep the children engaged and not overwhelmed. This has been our best purchase on teachers pay teachers. • I am so glad that I found this resource! I was able to utilize the worksheets along with the videos to create such authentic writing lessons. I notice my students using the RACE method daily now. • This is a MUST have resource. I love how it goes with the videos on Youtube. My students are so engaged when we are doing RACE. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!! • I hope this can be helpful for you too! • So you would: • 1.)
