2024 Wigram Revival Pre78s Race 4

Handicap Race Grid Position 20, 4th set of lights at 45sec. • Got a bloody great start but wasn’t long before other joined my party having got a better start, lost three positions to Tony Pearson in his RP2000 Escort, Steve Pauling in his RS2000 Escort and Greg Mowat in his Lotus Seven, I managed to reclaim a position from Greg at the first corner and was chasing Tony for position BUT !!!!! the bloody passenger door of the car came open in the middle of the carousel which pissed me off no end with nothing I could do about it and the circuit being mainly left hand corners I pressed on hoping the door might slam shut Lol Fat Chance !! but you can hear clearly on the video when the door is open. • The eventual Black Flag drive through notification put paid to my day, I then stayed out of the chasing packs way as I negotiated my way back to pit lane, once closed I had no choice to but to reflect on my mantra “GO HARD OR GO HOME” so the chase was on to try and get onto or pass the second to last car. • I finished a great weekend with a less than satisfactory result but I did finish in 19th position with a fastest time of 1:46.090 • The Pre78’s have raced closely all weekend with milli seconds between their respective times and had an absolute ball, the best racing available and loving it !! • If you like my in car video hit LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to be advised when I post new content Enjoy !!!
