And each one gets better than the next, even the ones that come to life and try and kill him and everyone else on Earth. Even though he’s only a genius on Earth, that genius has given the Avengers the edge they’ve needed to fend off the Chitari and even his own creation. During his time in the comics, though, Tony has gotten up to some seriously over powered suits to deal with some seriously over powered threats. Not just Mad Titans completing their precious stone collection, but actual gods and Celestials that have come to threaten Earth, humans, or just friends Tony has made along the way. • To deal with these outsized threats Tony has created some outsized armor. When Tony is down, he’s at his most dangerous because that’s when he takes the stops off his armor innovations. Whether it’s using the holographic world he lived in to create a holographic suit of armor that would give us all the Robert Downey Junior face time we need, or the Superior Iron Man suit that acts like a symbiote, there have been several armor setups that have turned what started as a stiff set of armor plates into a fluid and powerful force. He’s even gone for exotic materials mined from magical places like Nidavellir with the Uru armor. When all the stops need to come off, like when a Celestial or army of Celestials go dark and want a piece of Earth, Tony has gone big. Literally big, like with the Godkiller suit.
