The Royals needed an ace performance to stop a long skid, and Cole Ragans gave them everything they could ask for. The left-hander turned in 6.0 shutout innings vs. the Nationals, striking out 6 and allowing just 3 hits. Neither team could get on the scoreboard in the first 9 innings until a mishandled Bobby Witt Jr. infield single allowed Kyle Isbel to scamper home to break the deadlock.
