Three variations on what is normal for tails to look like after banding. They are not all the same, nor do the tails fall off on the same day. Some take a few days; some much longer. - Tails can only be banded with this method during the first five days of life - the earlier, the better. I do mine within 24-36 hours of birth. After that time, general anesthesia is required and it must be done by a qualified veterinary surgeon.
