Welsh rarebit recipe cook with me

Hello All • I hope you are all well and that you enjoy this recipe for traditional Welsh rarebit, it's a lovely lunch idea and is so very very tasty. I've served it here with a salad but you can just eat it as a open sandwich on it's own, either way it's totally delicious, I hope you give it a go and if you do, please let me know how you get on. I've put the ingredients down below for the rarebit topping, this will do two portions. I used 2 slices of Hovis from a 400g loaf for my portion so with that and the salad my lunch came to 432 calories. • Ingredients - serves 2 (but you can easily double if you want more or you have larger bread). • Mature cheddar cheese, mine weighed in at 132g or around 4.5 oz • 1 tsp of butter (I used light spread) • 1 tsp of flour ( I used Dove's gluten free) • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce • 1 heaped tsp mustard (I used Dijon) • 2 tbs of beer (I used gluten free Greene King IPA) • white pepper • Bread, for my portion I used 2 slices from a 400g Hovis loaf (I don't need a gluten free diet) • We shared the rest of the beer as it seemed a shame to waste it :) • Thanks so much for watching, or as it's Welsh rarebit, diolch!!! • Take care • Kate • x • • Follow me on Instagram if you like :) it would be great to see you overr there: •   / kitchenspy
