Louisiana Grills Founders Series Repair Igniter Replacement

How to replace the igniter in a Louisiana Grills Founders Series wood pellet grill and smoker. • 1. Turn off and unplug the grill. • 2. Remove screws holding the hopper side plate in place. • 3. Remove the left plate and unplug the fan wires. • 4. Locate and disconnect the igniter wire. • 5. Open the lid and remove grill grates, flame broiler, and burn grate. • 6. Loosen the screw and remove the igniter by pulling it from its tail end. • 7. Install the new igniter: Locate the igniter to the position shown, install it from the back end and tighten the screws in such a way that when the burn grate is placed, the tip of the ignitor aligns with the burn grate. • 8. Connect the igniter wire and secure it. • 9. Reconnect the fan wire. • 10. Install left side plate onto hopper. • 11. Plug in the grill and turn the controller ON. The ignitor should turn red. • 12.
