This dance from Cuyo, Palawan is an interpretative dance created for the catchy folk songs Toting and Solteros. Performed by the Apulit Island Resort Performers on March 5, 2017, El Nido, Palawan. • According to Ms. Rosanna Pediapco Trampe, a Cuyonon (born and raised in Cuyo island): Toting’s lyrics goes: • Toting, ara kami kaniogan • (Toting, we don’t have a coconut plantation) • Si Nanay si Tatay pirming pamagatnan • (My parents’ vice is to go south) • Andang ingdadara ongot sanda tonggan • (They bring with them a bamboo tumbler pitcher) • Ang andang semseman kogita, sobingan • (Their pulutans are octopus swordfish). • Solteros on the other hand is sung by a lady who turns her suitor down because she said the man’s parents doesn’t approve of her. • (Ref: / rosanna.trampe )
