You will need to download the emulator mGBA (it's the only accepted emulator in the Pokémon Speedruns community). Once you have downloaded mGBA go to Tools, Game Overrides, Game Boy Advanced. Untick Autodetect , and leave Realtime clock unticked. This should leave you with a dry battery on emulator and you can do the manipulation as you would on console. • Q: What does the number 148 refer to? • A: The Mudkip in this video is Mudkip 148 as it is the 148th frame after resetting (check the list of Mudkips above). • Q: Does this work to get shinies? • A: Yes.However,  you would need to find a frame yourself that produces a shiny Mudkip. • Q: How does one get a dead battery ? • A: Simple: just take it out the cartridge. Genuine Sapphire cartridges have one tri-wing screw on the back. Once removed, you can open the cart and just take the battery out of it's socket. • Q: My cartridges does not have a battery? What now? • A: If you open your cart and all you see is a black blob of epoxy, you have a fake cartridge. Unfortunately, fake carts are all over the internet and you can easily get scammed when buying one. Watch out, as this manipulation is not possible on a fake cartridge. • --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Follow me on Twitch:   / kylovic   • Follow me on Twitter:   / kylovic   • Subscribe to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_... • Thanks for watching!
