Jeff takes this episode of History Hunters to the site of the 1957 Pacoima School yard airplane crash of Jan. 31, 1957, the one referred to in the movie La Bamba. • Four personnel aboard the DC-7B that hit the playground and an adjacent church perished. One of them, Archie Twitchell, was a former actor who appeared in a number of western movies. Three students lost their lives that day while about 75 others were injured. • Ritchie Valens was enrolled at the school but absent that day.
