From this 1973 classic Disney film, we review and give a plot summary while going over what we can learn from Robin Hood. Learn how Robin Hood risks so much to bring hope and relief to the people of Nottingham. • Watch the 1973 Robin Hood full movie: • Robin Hood • Relive the full story (without the songs and soundtrack unfortunately): • Robin and Little John often are running through the forest to evade the Sheriff of Nottingham. When Prince John arrives, Robin puts on a fortune teller disguise to set about robbing prince john. Robin Hood and Little John are successful wherever they go. Taxes are awful in Nottingham and even little boys like Skippy the rabbit even get taxed on their birthday presents. Maid Marian and Robin Hood are in love with each other, but Robin doesn’t know how he could pursue her since he is an outlaw. With an archery tournament however, Robin and Little John disguise themselves so that he can see Maid Marian again. Unfortunately, Robin is captured briefly before Prince John declares to release the prisoner due to the persuasion of Little John. Oo de lally, Robin proposes to Marian and love conquers all. The main event however is when Robin’s Merry Men fight soldiers and deputies to escape. In Sherwood Forest, Robin and Marian declare how their love goes on for each other and then celebrate with all of the Merry Men while making fun of the phony king of England, Prince John the Worst. When Friar Tuck is arrested for high treason to the crown, Prince John sets up a trap for Robin Hood to hang Friar Tuck. The Sheriff and his guards stand watch waiting for a jail break, but Robin Hood is able to sneak in anyway and all of the people begin escaping the castle. Robin himself gets stuck and jumps from the castle on fire and escapes once again from Prince John.
