Tepache is a fermented pineapple drink that has prehistoric beginnings in Mexico and Central America. It is a healthly drink that is very good for bringing in probiotics for gut health. It also has a good amount of Bromelian, too. Tepache also helps with lowering blood pressure, contains vitamin C, reducing inflamation and aids in digestion. Tepache is very easy to make; use the peelings from a pineapple, a cinnamon stick, cloves, piloncillo and filtered water. I place mine in a gallon pickle jar and let ferment four or five days. I get about seven bottles of it at the end of the fermentation period. • #tepache
