Numbats, these adorable marsupials, can consume up to 20,000 termites a day. Thanks to their tongues, which are nearly half the length of their bodies, and their activity during daylight hours when termites are on the move, they can easily access termite mounds. Interestingly, despite being marsupials, female numbats lack a pouch. While they closely resemble anteaters, they are not related to them.
