This video instructs how to help a baby learn to transition from standing at furniture down to the floor with help. My name is Amy Sturkey, PT. I am a pediatric physical therapist in the United States. This video teaches a simple technique of how to help your baby learn to move from standing at furniture to sitting on the floor with your help. I started this video series to help families with a child with Microcephaly; however, this technique could be used with any child with a developmental delay who is not good at transitioning down from standing with control. This video is only appropriate for children who already pulling up to stand. This is not appropriate for a much weaker child than the one pictured in this video. I hope you find this idea useful and simple to follow through. • My website is www.pediatricPTexercises.com. My Facebook page is Pediatric Physical Therapy Exercises.
