Cancion Petenera is a beautiful soulful flamenco guitar piece originally composed by Paco Pena. I love playing this piece and so do my intermediate/advanced students. I was fortunate that my guitar teacher Richard Lawrence transcribed the piece for me back in the 80's, so I have excellent tab for this piece- that I teach and supply my students. • The piece is rumoured to bring bad luck in public perfomances, as it relates to a lady of the night, who brought damnation to men!
