How does rebar make structural reinforced concrete stronger? • Ive always known that rebar makes concrete stronger but I never took the time to figure out exactly what its doing in there to accomplish that! • In this video, I explain how concrete can withstand enormous compressive forces, but is relatively weak under tension and sheer forces. Rebar, on the other hand can withstand tension very well - when combined, they make a perfect combination! The concrete is able to transfer all of the sheer and tension forces into the rebar that is embedded into it. • #rebar #concrete
