These come in different gauages, typically from 16g (thicker) - 19g (thinner) - bigger the number the thinner the post. I use a regular earring in my cartilage and I was pierced with a regular earring w/ a piercing gun back in 2007. (STILL ALIVE BTW! ) Yes, because it’s bigger it’s probably going to be uncomfortable because my ear is used to regular earrings. • How to insert cartilage earrings: • I put in these earrings through the back of the hole.
