It's based off the Jia Ji MPV, so it does not share in Volvo's BMA and CMA platforms. Its bigger than the Geely Azkarra, yet cheaper too. It drives like the smaller Geely Coolray, in terms of sporty response. In this Filipino car review, we check out the Geely Okavango Urban Plus, the top-spec 7-seater crossover. Though it's based off an MPV, it is still a crossover in design. The 2021 Geely Okavango Urban Plus goes against similar affordable 7-seaters in the market, like the Chery Tiggo 8, and other 7 seater MPVs like the Toyota Rush, the Toyota Innova, the Mitsubishi Xpander, and the Suzuki Ertiga. The Okavango will also be launch in Geely Malaysia, under the Proton badge. The added panoramic sunroof made the Okavango Urban Plus more expensive, since it is now near the 1.5M peso mark. But considering the size and the kit, the price is still quite competitive, and is still cheaper than the base model Toyota Fortuner or even the Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
