Ep13 Lockdown at Sea

Denied permission to enter port, stopped from landing our dinghy on a remote beach on the first day of lockdown in Spain. The Spanish authorities moved quickly, so quickly that it caught a lot of people out including us. After having spent a couple of weeks at anchored we venture ashore for a walk on a sunny weekend there are a few people out walking dogs and running but there is also a police man who tells everyone they must return home. Lockdown has started. We realise in a state of lockdown we will be short on food, water and gas for cooking so must find a way to restock. This was not how we thought our sailing season would start this year! • Corona virus has taken hold in Spain and extreme measures have been brought in everywhere. Marina offices are unmanned and it's only when we arrive at a marina entrance that someone answers the VHF to tell us we can't land and must leave. • It's a world crisis and in some ways we feel lucky to be out at anchor in our own boat / isolation ward!
