Join Paul Hindmarsh as he explores the treasures from the Yamaha Guitar Archive in Hamamatsu, Japan. Given the opportunity to delve into the vast collection of unique Yamaha guitar and bass prototypes, Paul created six short pieces of music to give these instruments a chance to vibrate again. • With Powercut , Paul went old school metal. Starting with the lead guitar, Paul wanted to let the Pacifica 1230S, an early ‘90s prototype, take center stage. • A 2003 SGV500S was Paul’s choice for the rhythm part. One of six guitars hand painted by young graphic artists during a live painting performance, the SGV500S added a bit of edge underneath. • The 2001 SBV500 completed this piece. A redesign of the offset SB Series from the 1960s, featuring a deep neck joint and unique pickups, this bass paired perfectly with the SGV500S. • Paul recorded using the Line 6 Sonic Port VX into a MacBook® running Steinberg Cubase with Line 6 Helix Native software, and Yamaha HS8 studio monitors. • Watch Yamaha | Classic Electric Guitars Part Two: The Yamaha Guitar Archive: • Yamaha | Classic Electric Guitars Par... • Keep up to date with Yamaha Guitars: • / yamahaguitars • / yamaha_guitars • / yamahaguitars • http://yamahaguitardevelopment.com • MacBook is a registered trademark of Apple Inc.
