In this video, we look at the various components of an internal combustion (IC) engine cooling water system and how they work together to regulate the engine temperature. • The operating principle of the thermostat is explained using a 3D animation. A short overview is also given for the cooling water pump, thermostat, radiator, fan and overflow tank. • Note that the cooling water system and jacket water system are the same thing.
