Lobo Peak hike and wildlife

Lobo Peak via Yerba Canyon Trail, dusky grouse, red squirrel, mountain chickadee, Steller's jay, butterflies in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range (southernmost subrange of the Rocky Mountains). The hike is 9.1 mi/14.6 km roundtrip, with elevation gain 3914 ft/1.19 km, traffic is light. Start on Trail No. 61 and merge No. 57.
