Water demand in environmental engineering is defined as the amount of water requested by users to meet their needs. Water demand is the amount of water required to fulfill the demand of the consumers. • Water demand depends on the size of the city, quality quantity of water supplied, Standard of living metering system, pressure in the pipeline, etc. • It is necessary to determine the quantity of water required before designing a water supply scheme.
