Hackney, Regents Canal • Towpath Cafe is an oasis on the Regents Canal in Hackney. Prize-winning food photographer Jason Lowe and his wife food writer Lori de Mori spotted the potential of tiny spaces under a redevelopment near their East End home and now serve breakfast, lunch and dinner at their cafe daily. A couple who happily work together, they want passing cyclists and locals to stop and linger over coffee and homemade food. For that reason, there is no takeaway, no wifi, no website, no bookings, and barely a sign to show where they are tucked away.
