Would buy again. • It works fine. Can boil water about 40% faster than with my newish gas stove on the big burner. It seems sturdy. Much safer than a normal hotplate with the kids running around bc it doesn't actually get real hot. • The only annoying thing is that you can't put it under a cabinet like a kettle or something because the steam will condense and drip back down into your food which is gross. That would be a problem with any standalone cooktop tho, not this one particularly. • The kids claim they can sometimes hear a very high pitched whine if they're next to it. I can't hear it. The button layout could be a little more intuitive but I'm really scraping, finding things to complain about. Bottom line, it's sturdy efficient and safe. I'd buy it again. Get one of those silicone pads to protect the glass from scratching.
