Get to know Anna Hall – one of the best overall track and field athletes at the moment. • Last week. she made waves after scoring 5,004 points in the pentathlon at the U.S. indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her performance just missed the world record of 5,013 set by Nataliya Dobrynska of Ukraine in 2012. Hall broke the American record, which was previously set by Sharon Day-Monroe in 2014 and put her at No. 2 on the all-time list. Hall's results in ABQ included an indoor personal best in the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, and shot put. She hit the ground in exhaustion after finishing the final event, the 800 meters, in 2:05.71 but then came back two days later to win the women's 400m title. • Hall turned pro in August 2022 after earning a bronze medal in the heptathlon at the World Athletics Championships and claiming the NCAA title.
