How to repot and propagate a Boston fern! • My Boston fern was not doing so well after spending the winter indoors. It was dry and there was a lot of dead fronds and roots. • I broke it out of its hanging container and now I have four different ferns! • What you’ll need: • Organic potting soil • Sterile sheers • Sterile knife • Gravel (or broken pottery pieces) • Horticultural charcoal • Bucket with water • Pots to transfer your baby ferns • It took me about 45 mins to get the fern separated, remove the dead fronds and roots, and individually repotted. It’s tedious, but if you have the time (hello, quarantine!), then why not! • Evolution of ferns information: https://www.amerfernsoc.org/about-ferns
