Product Page: • https://www.swann.com/swifi-spotcam • • Let’s walk through the Quick Start setup for your new Swann Spotlight Outdoor Security Camera. • Begin by connecting the camera to your power adapter using the power ethernet cable. • Then, plug the power adapter into an outlet within range of your WI-FI network. • Next, download the latest version of the Swann Security App from the Apple App Store for iOS, or the Google Play Store for Android. • Then, launch the Swann Security App. • Now, if you don’t already have one, create a Swann Security account. • Then, verify it by clicking the link sent to your email. • Now, sign into your account. • The installation is best completed near a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera cannot connect to other types of wireless networks. • Ensure your phone is connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. • Given that the app gets updated as frequently as weekly, instructions on the video will match the app at the time of this video’s publication. • For the latest instructions on the Swann Security app, you can always access the manual via the app itself by or go to support.swann.com and search for “swann security”. • If this is your first time pairing a Swann device tap the “pair device” icon. • If you already have a device paired, open the menu, and then tap “pair device” • Then select “start” • Now, scan the devices QR code located on the mounting base. • If you can’t scan the code, select “manual entry” and type the 12-digit ID code. • Now, tap the “next” button to continue. • The Wi-Fi network name field is auto filled with the network that your phone is currently using. • Your camera will join this Wi-Fi network by default. • If you have multiple home Wi-Fi networks and prefer to connect your camera to another • network, simply tap the Wi-Fi name field and enter the network name manually. • For best performance, use the network closest to the final location of your camera. • Now, Enter, and confirm your Wi-Fi network password. • Then tap the Next button. • Tap “Yes” on the confirmation popup • Then, check to see if the LED indicator of your camera is blinking blue slowly to indicate the camera is in WI-FI Pairing mode. • If the camera is not in pairing mode, press and hold the Reset button on the back of your camera for 5 seconds until • the LED indicator starts blinking blue rapidly and then wait about 30 seconds. • When the LED indicator starts blinking blue slowly, your camera is in pairing mode. • Tap “yes” to continue. • Tap the “Start” button, • Then tap “Join” on the confirmation popup. • This allows the app to automatically connect to the camera's hotspot and pair your camera to your home Wi-Fi as well as link to your Swann Security account. • If, for any reason, the app fails to connect automatically to the camera's hotspot, you can manually connect to the camera's hotspot: • • Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your phone and connect to the camera's hotspot (e.g., Swann-SWIFI-xxxxxx). • • Then, return to the app and continue setup. • Once pairing is complete, tap the “Done” button. • • Your camera will be displayed in the Live View tab. • Your Swann Spotlight Outdoor Security Camera is designed to work flawlessly with multiple cameras via the Swann Security App. You can add a combination of more Spotlight Outdoor Security Cameras, other Swann Wi-Fi security cameras as well as fully wired Swann DVRs and NVRs. • After you’ve selected the cameras that suit your security needs best, just follow the previous steps to add additional cameras.
