枚聞神社 Hirakiki Jinja （平成24年4月4日）

In legend, Hirakiki Jinja was constructed in age of Gods. It has been built before Mt. Kaimondake. It has been worshiped as the most prestigious shrine in the country Satsuma. It has deified Oohirumemuchinomikoto equated with Amaterasuoomikami. At first, Mt.Kaimondake was God, and it is supposed that it was the place of Umihiko Yamahiko in Japanese myth. It is venerated as God of the safety of voyage and fishery from the location which faced the open sea. If you go to north about 700m from this place, there is Tamanoi which is said Toyotamahime had used.
