This is a video demonstration for dental wax carving of permanent maxillary right canine tooth as part of dental anatomy course. • 0:00 – intro • 0:13 – mark crown length • 0:46 – mark root length • 1:42 – mark labial, lingual, mesial distal surfaces • 2:31 – mark midline on labial lingual surface • 3:16 – divide labial lingual surface of crown into 1/3rd • 3:35 – mark mesiodistal width of crown on labial lingual surface • 4:40 – draw mesial distal outline of crown on labial lingual surface • 6:37 – carve the mesial distal surface of crown till labial lingual outline • 8:30 – mark mesial distal midline of crown • 9:01 – mark labiolingual width of crown on mesial and distal surface • 9:59 – draw labial lingual outline of crown on mesial distal surface • 11:16 – carve the labial lingual surface of crown till mesial distal outline • 13:18 – carve the incisal outline of crown • 15:15 – taper the cingulum towards lingual aspect • 15:50 – round off all sharp line angles on the crown • 16:19 – create lingual ridge • 17:22 – carve the cusp tip • 18:12 – reduce incisal edge to adequate thickness • 20:40 – correct mesial distal cusp slopes • 21:56 – carve marginal ridge lingual fossa • 26:53 – mark root outline on labial lingual surfaces • 27:18 – carve mesial distal surface of root till labial lingual outline • 28:09 – carve labial lingual surface of root till mesial distal crown outline • 29:02 – reduce root surface till crown outline on all surfaces • 29:14 – create root taper apically • 30:24 – carve a shallow vertical developmental depression on apical half of mesial surface of root • 30:50 – carve a deeper vertical developmental depression on apical half of distal surface of root • 31:50 – mark carve the cervical line • 34:11 – after final polishing
