I'm a pediatrician and I chose pediatrics because I love to work with kids, but also because I like to get to meet kids when they're babies and be with them as they grow up and learn who they are as a person. The first time I meet patients a lot of times is at that initial newborn visit, which can be really overwhelming as a first-time parent, but that's our visit to answer all those questions and make sure that you go home feeling comfortable and happy, and ready to take on whatever challenges your baby's going to bring you. When you bring your kid into the office, no matter the reason, my goal is to see your kid, figure out what's going on, but also to educate you as a parent because I think what's most important as a parent is that you feel empowered and you feel included in the decision-making and go home knowing what's going on with your kiddo and what to watch out for. • I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky. I was born and raised here, and then I did my pediatrics training in Michigan and then practiced in Florida. And we moved back to Louisville as a family because we love the city and we wanted to be closer to some of our family as well. For fun, I really like to take walks with my family in our neighborhood. I also love reading and I love watching Louisville sports.
