Here is an acoustic cover of #penguins by #edsheeran • 'Penguins' is definitely one of my all time favorites among Ed Sheeran's songs. First introduced in the movie 'Yesterday', the song appeared during Ed's concert before his post-Divide hiatus—to my knowledge, that was the first and only live performance of the song up to now—but didn't get its official release until the Tour Edition of 'Equals'. • I spent a lot of time to learn this song. The first one was after I watched a video of the live performance. I remember replaying the video so many times and playing it on guitar again and again back then. The second was after it was released in the album. Now able to listen to it more clearly, I noticed I didn't play some parts correctly, so I got back to practice, repeating it countless times again. Then the third one was during the making of this cover. • It took hours (actually, even days) to make this 4-minute video cover. Recording the guitar track following a metronome wasn't as easy as I had thought, so I had to go through endless repetitions of practice and then the recording itself. There were also endless tries of recording for the vocal track. After the audio was done, I had to shoot the video, edit it, and combine everything together. I don't think I would be able to do this if I wasn't having a semester break last month. However, I'm very satisfied with the result and I hope you like it too 😊 • I created all of the tracks in the audio. Both of the vocal and guitar tracks were recorded directly into GarageBand (GB) without any effect, except for some EQ adjustment.
