She engages in scanning and attending behavior but only when told look and provided with gestures. This is an issue because she is not learning to attend to materials on her own and requires someone to direct her attention. • Ways to address this issue include: • -Teaching the student to attend without prompts using an attending program • -Monitoring instructor behavior for fidelity with not prompting the child to attend
