On August 20, India granted emergency use approval to Zydus Cadila's Covid vaccine ZyCoV-D, meant for children aged 12 years and above. The vaccine is needle-free and is to be administered intradermally in three doses with a gap of 4 weeks between each dose. Zydus Cadila has said ZyCoV-D is effective against the new coronavirus mutants, especially the Delta variant.
