It has some flaws however, like soundtracks don't play from a CD in games. Other than that, it is okay. It is much better than Dosbox Daum, and Windows 98 on Virtualbox. You can install Dos on it, and play dos games as well. Like PCEM, 86Box requires a lot of cpu power. If you had a two cpu computer, you could really benefit from it. I do have one a dual CPU Dell Precision T5500, but I haven't used this emulator or PCEM on it yet. I will in the future and make a video on how different CPUs perform with 86Box and PCEM. • 86Box and PCEM allows you to install a wide variety of operating systems that existed from the late 1980s up to 2000. You can install Windows 3.0, Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP on it as well. It would be pointless to put a operating system greater than Windows 98 on it, because this emulator can't support Pentium 2s/Pentium 3s. Operating systems, like Windows XP require at least a Pentium 3. I never used Windows XP on anything less than a Pentium IV back in 2001. I only used Pentium 4s or higher cpus on Windows XP, like the Pentium 4 1.8 ghzs, Pentium 4 3.0 HT, the Athlon 64 3200+. • I made this video to show people how to use 86Box, but I still prefer PCEM V13 over this any day. I don't need network support, because I don't intend to use this emulator to browse the internet. Sure, you can install Netscape on it, and go online. You won't be able to see a lot of the sites on the internet, because Netscape doesn't support many of the features modern internet browsers support. The great thing about 86box and PCEM is that it has 3dfx support and Voodoo 2 3d accelerator support. You couldn't find a Pentium 166 MMX computer now with a 3dfx Voodoo 3d accelerator. To me, the Intel Pentium 166 MMX and the Voodoo 3dfx card are iconic.
