It is a folksong performed by the Pulluva community of #kerala. Mostly ritualistic, these songs are considered the conversation between man and the #nature. In the vernacular context, the term pullu connotes the bird of omen, and 'Pulluvas' are considered the #people with expertise to decode such omens. It is considered that their songs attract prosperity within a family. • These #songs are mainly performed in temples and sacred groves. Often, one can find Pulluvan Paatu being #performed in families, as part of their #tradition. The instruments used to perform these songs are called 'pulluvan veena'(a string fiddle with a bow) and 'pulluvan kuttam'(earthen pot with strings attached). • Our cultural immersive experiences connect such wonderful #stories of the regions.
