Didos Lament Henry Purcell 1683

This is not my own composition, but rather an arrangement of what I think is one of the great pieces of classical music. This is from the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell. I scored it for wooden flute, lute, and string orchestra. I wanted to create the sound of a Baroque orchestra, which had, unlike more modern orchestras, just a few players on a part. So instead of using samples of full sections, I used samples of solo strings to create the illusion of a 2-2-1-1-1 string section. • The images are of the ruins of Carthage in Tunisia, where the opera takes place. • If you like it, please consider subscribing to my channel. • If you REALLY like it, consider supporting me through Patreon: • https://www.patreon.com/user?u=82544390
