Read the full review at http://classiccarsdriven.com/ • In the late 1950's Daimler were in financial trouble and desperate to emulate Jaguar and Triumph's success in capitalising on the American market. What evolved was the Daimler Dart, later renamed the Sports 2500 or SP250 after it emerged the name 'Dart' was already taken by Dodge for a sports car they had planned at the time. • Sadly it wasn't the success Daimler needed and when ownership of the company moved to Jaguar, who already had the hugely popular E-Type, or was it developed. This of course makes the Daimler SP250 'Dart' an extremely rare car indeed.
