Why Your Water Heater Is Leaking

Is your water heater leaking and there is a puddle on the bottom of it? In this video I go over how to figure out if your leaking water heater needs to be replaced or does is simply need an easy fix. • I work on water heaters almost on a daily basis and thought I would briefly explain how to tell if your water heater leak is terminal or if its repairable. The common leak spots that are not terminal are: the drain valve, pressure relieve valve (PRV), and pipe joints or fittings. If it's not leaking at one of those spots, then your inner tank is the one leaking.
