2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball Card Design 👀 FIRST LOOK and REVIEW

In this #short, I give my first impressions of the newly released 2024 Topps Series 1 Flagship Baseball Card Design! This I like and dislike about the design as well as some improvements I would make. • It’s electric! Topps 2024 Flagship design for Series 1 is definitely a themed design, using Neon lights as the primary inspiration They use a combo of black and white borders, with black at the top for extra contrast for the neon team name. The large name on top reminds me of 2004, 1986 designs. • The Review! • Thing I like: • 1. I tend to think less is more, and the design is simple and straight forward. • 2. The name plate font is nice and bold with a drop shadow, making the names very readable. • 3. Always a fan of using the teams colors in the design, and this year has the primary and secondary colors highlighted. • 4. I like what they did with the Team logo and position, simple and effective. • 5. Also the black and white gradient having some extra texture is a nice touch. • Some nitpicks: • 1. Not a huge fan of the neon lines underneath the team name. Neon usually doesn’t overlap and I think it would look nicer above the line. • 2. Same thing for the name plate. Moving the neon underneath name works as well. • 3. Going hard with this Neon design seems bold for a flagship design. It will be interesting to see how this design ages. Might have worked better for a release like Topps Big League. • 4.
