A mid-use review of the Drop X-Mid 1p Ultralight Tent. I've used this out in the field enough to give a few thoughts on it, as well as an overall impression of how I like it. • Note: I was able to pre-order the Gen2 version of this tent on 10Jan2022, and will be making a follow-up video about the changes made. • 00:00 - Intro • 00:24 - Tent Stakes • 00:31 - Setup Instructions on Stuff Sack • 00:37 - Pitch • 01:58 - Outside Look • 02:22 - Corner and Door Linlocs • 02:27 - Door Zipper • 02:31 - Peak Guylines • 02:36 - Peak Vents • 02:44 - Poles • 02:53 - Adjusting the Headroom • 03:00 - Inner to Outer Attachment • 03:04 - Door Closure • 03:20 - Top Down View • 03:33 - Interior Layout • 03:50 - Inner Tent Racing Stripe • 04:25 - Inner Tent • 04:32 - Pockets • 04:50 - Fitting Inside • 05:05 - 270 Degree Spin • 05:39 - Lying Down • 06:04 - Inner to Outer Clearance • 06:20 - Wide Pads • 06:26 - Two Pads Stacked • 06:57 - Real World Use • 07:12 - Usability Complaints • 07:53 - Comfort • 08:04 - Final Thoughts and Recommendation • I was not paid to make this video and all opinions are my own. Drop / Dan did not contact me to make this, and my enthusiasm for this product stems from my genuine enjoyment using it. If this fails completely in the field, I will make a follow-up video detailing it's faults as honestly as this video sings it's praises. • For those curious, I used an A7III shooting in HLG3 with a 28-75mm f2.8, a Samyang 24mm f2.8, an FD Mount 55mm f1.2, with a Movo VXR10 mic, an Insta360 One X shooting in flat color, and a GoPro Hero 6 shooting in 4:3 4K 30p protune on with flat color, stabilized by ReelSteadyGo. All editing, color, and graphics, were done in DaVinci Resolve 16 (beta).
