406 Numberplate Light Repair

The numberplate lights on the 406 were not working. • I did have crap ebay LED's in which are rubbish they corrode within a few months and stop working. • However even when replacing with conventional incandescent bulbs the problem was not solved. I checked all the fuses yet none had blown. • Then i looked at the wiring diagram for the numberplate lights and seen that they get their power from the Left tail light, and sure enough the plug was disconnected, from when i replaced the fog light bulb. Plugging it back in solved the problem, however one bulb did not light up. This was due to loose connections, a quick crimp with some forceps sorted that out. • For wiring diagrams for the 406 i was given a link to this site: • http://www.petrila.net/pug/Service/in... • To date any wiring diagram ive looked at has been accurate.
