Especially close to my heart is the Induction Cooker. These are very efficient, fast, clean and when deep frying with oil in an open pan, as required by Beaver Tails, they are very safe compared to other methods and give that 'just fried dough' flavour that we love at fairgrounds. A delicious alternative to cinnamon buns, with no rolling, goopy stuff, mess or hard work involved. No beavers were harmed in making this video! It's deep fried, cinnamon sugar coated, yeast risen bread dough.... eaten hot! In the video below you can also see 'BeaverTails' topped with nutella, bananas, smarties, skors, or anything you want but my favourite is the traditional taste. I used a recipe adapted from: • https://www.canadianliving.com/food/b... • I use 2 cups wholewheat and 1 cup white flour, as I prefer healthy food and under COVID19 white flour is sold out, but not wholemeal. Knowing how to cook with wholemeal is great! I kneed it for about 10 mins in the bowl (to save mess - think breadmaker) and then after an hour or so for a couple of minutes more, and this is in fact to spread the yeast around. I let it go another hour then. Mostly you just need patience while the dough rises. Enjoy!
