The offshore drilling platform Berkut is one of the largest in the world. It is located 25 kilometers from Sakhalin Island on the shelf in the Sea of Okhotsk. This is a huge fully autonomous plant on giant reinforced concrete piles, which not only drills new wells, but also extracts several thousand tons of oil every day from a huge depth. The platform is able to withstand 18-meter waves, withstand temperatures down to -44 C° and the pressure of ice fields up to 2 meters thick.
