Lets Try Glass Etching How To Etch Glass With Etching Cream

So today I'm taking on glass etching and showing you how to etch glass with etching cream, even though I'm a complete beginner when it comes to the glass etching process! I was actually quite surprised that you etch glass with a cream and not a proper electronic tool which I was expecting. I suppose the corrosive cream eats away at the top layer of glass creating a lovely frosted effect; combine that with a pattern underneath and you're left with negative space where the transparent glass shows through. I actually think this glass etching process would be really interesting when creating some sort of light box or framed backlit panel. You can obviously do the wine bottle and wine glass etching too if you fancied it. Just be warned that the glass etching cream is very corrosive and absolutely stinks of eggs!
