All Rights Reserved. • CHY Ribbed Crochet Hat Written Instructions: • Materials Required: • 2 balls of Red Heart With Love Holly Berry Yarn (medium worsted weight, category 4) • 10mm Crochet Hook • Yarn Needle • Craft Scissors • Head Circumference: 21 inches/54 cms • Notes: ch 2 = 1 dc st. When joining into ch-2, sl st into both loops of the 2nd ch st. • Using 2 balls of yarn together - ch 4, sl st into 1st ch to form a ring. • Rnd 1: ch 2, (working over yarn tail as you go) 13 dc into ring, sl st into top of ch-2 to join. (14 sts) • Rnd 2: ch 2, 1 FPdc around ch-2 under join, [1 dc into next st, 1 FPdc around the same dc] 13 times, sl st into top of ch-2 to join. (28 sts) • Rnd 3: ch 2, 1 FPdc around ch-2 under join, 1 FPdc around next FPdc, [1 dc between next 2 sts, 1 FPdc around each of the next 2 sts] 13 times, sl st into top of ch-2 to join. (42 sts) • With a yarn needle sew center yarn tail in and around the inside of Rnd 1. • Rnd 4: ch 2, sk the ch-2, 1 FPdc around each st to the end, sl st into top of ch-2 to join.
