Round Wound vs Half Round String Comparison

The strings last a very long time considering they are not coated but eventually the intonation got funky like all strings do after time. I decided to try out a set of half wound D'Addarios. Seeing as there are no good YouTube videos yet on how these semi-flat strings compare, I decided to make my own. The idea behind these semi-flat strings is to find a happy medium between bright round wounds and warm flat wounds. I am very happy with them.
